our house was pretty "special" when we bought it. it was repo that had a lot of damage and required a million times more work. it's been about 7 years and we are still working on it. we've done what little we could as we are able to afford it. so needless to say, it is slow going...but we are back at it again!
this time tearing up the tile that we laid in the hallway when we first moved in. really, we should have never laid it in the first place... we didn't know there was good wood underneath the flooring that was currently there when we moved in.

so, we have good great wood flooring that we are getting ready to refinish. we have a lot of trim to put up still.. around the doors + the floor trim. pretty soon my hallway will be the best one on the block!
after sitting stagnet on house repairs lately, this has us really wanting to get more done to make it feel less cluttered and under construction and more warm, cozy + welcoming. the way a home should be.
